Before the city fully wakes, a different Dhaka emerges in a handful of small cafés scattered from Dhanmondi to Banani. The espresso machines hum, the light comes in soft, and for an hour or two the capital feels unhurried.
Café owners say the morning crowd has grown steadily — students with notebooks, freelancers with laptops, old friends who simply want a quiet table. Many source their beans from estates in the Chattogram Hill Tracts, part of a small but growing local coffee scene.
"People think Dhaka is only chaos," one barista laughed. "But there is a gentle side to this city. You just have to wake up early enough to meet it."
